He discovered cell phones and drugs in the cell, the Fier prison inspector is threatened with death

An unprecedented case happened in the high security prison in Fier. An inspector of this prison has been threatened with his life along with his family, for reasons directly related to the exercise of his duties.

In recent days, Gentjan Osaj's cell phone has received threatening messages from unidentified numbers, warning that the inspector's family's life was in danger. The case has been referred to the prison directorate for information.

It all started after the information that inspector Osaji had provided regarding some prohibited items circulating in the cells of convicts with high social risk. We remind you that the prison of Fier is an institution where well-known names of the world of crime are housed, such as criminal groups convicted of murder, organized crime and trafficking. After the information of the group of internal control instructors, Gentjan Osaji was threatened. Flash checks were carried out in the cells of persons suspected of carrying illegal items, and finding them unprepared. The inspectors also found mobile devices in the cell of the former minister of the interior, Sajmir Tahiri, sentenced by a final decision to 3 years and 4 months in prison. But this fact was not made public and the phone in the former minister's cell was rumored to be related to organized crime.

The director of Fier prison, Arjan Hasani, was made aware of this information, that the staff of the guards were "bought" by the convicts and in return for the payments they provided the illegal means. It is learned that Hasani did not refer these information to the Minister of Justice, while it is thought that his connections with some of the high political officials in the country were interested in these people having means of communication.

Gentjan Osaji referred that the mobile devices were sent through postal packages to two citizens who are in this institution, one serving the sentence and the other detained.

The mobile phones were hidden inside two digital TV set-top boxes to escape the inspection of the IEVP service. /CNA.al
