Tabaku raises the alarm/ Media at risk from Government control
Deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku

The deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, has called for a media free from government control.

Through a status on social networks, Tabaku reveals the meeting called by the Dutch embassy and highlights the language used by the prime minister towards journalists and the media.

She raises the alarm that the more we hear the prime minister "intern" journalists for "inappropriate" questions, the more at risk the media is.

"The battle for a media free from government control is really a necessity for our society.

That's why I was pleased to be part of this roundtable convened by the Dutch Embassy together with fellow MPs, but also with excellent participation from the media and AMA.

Progress The EU report is very clear on the problems of the media and how they should be solved.

The more we hear of a government and prime minister "detaining" journalists for "inappropriate" questions, the more at risk the media is.

But we expect to see the will of the majority when it backs down and throws the so-called "Anti-Defamation Law" in the trash.

As we expect the Command Tower in the Prime Minister to be dismantled by giving up the agencies that concentrate power.

It should not be forgotten that the only owner of a journalist is only the reader, as Montanelli used to say," writes the deputy./ BA - CNA.al
