American Hospital Performs Successful Cardiological Intervention for Ukrainian

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Albania, Volodymyr Shkurov, has undergone successful treatment at the American Hospital 3, as he underwent an emergency cardiological intervention, following an unexpected health situation that arose this Sunday in Voskopoja.

The intervention was performed after presenting to the Emergency Department and being diagnosed with extensive anterior myocardial infarction.

As reported by the medical team, the ambassador underwent emergency Coronary Angiography and then PCI, Coronary Angioplasty with Stent Placement, which was successfully performed by the specialized team. Currently, the ambassador is continuing treatment under intensive care in the Intensive Care Unit.

The successful intervention was carried out by the Cardiology medical team, led by Dr. Bekim Jata, the interventional cardiologist, Dr. Diamant Lulaj and Cardiologist, Dr. Almenda Zaka, the Anesthesia-Resuscitation team, led by Dr. Gentian Huti and anesthesiologist-resuscitator Dr. Amarildo Hidri, as well as the nursing staff involved in this treatment, resuscitator-anesthetist Dr. Ervisa and the Emergency team. /CNA
