Fire situation in the country/ 18 fires in 12 municipalities have been

Over the last 24 hours, 18 fires have been recorded in 12 municipalities: Vlorë, Saranda, Ksamil, Delvinë, Vau i Dejës, Malësi e Madhe, Tirana, Kavajë, Berat, Kuçovë, Skrapar and Elbasan.

All fires have been extinguished and there is no damage to people, homes or livestock. However, the fires have burned about 35.9 hectares of land, mainly shrubs and grasses.

266 operational forces, 35 firefighting vehicles and the Cougar helicopter of the Armed Forces were deployed in the firefighting operations.

In the context of coping with the fire situation in the south of the country, the Air Force has intensified aerial monitoring with drones, guaranteeing uninterrupted observation day and night over the areas most at risk from fires.

The entire Civil Protection mechanism at the local and central levels remains engaged and monitoring the situation.

Also, two earthquake tremors were reported this morning: the first with a magnitude of 3.9 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 15 KM and epicenter in Fushë-Krujë and the second with a magnitude of 3.8, depth of 15 KM, with an epicenter in Zall Herr, Tirana. There is no damage to people or buildings.

For today, based on the forecasts of the Institute of Geosciences, locally light rainfall is expected in the regions of Shkodër, Kukës, Dibër, Elbasan and Korçë.

While regarding fires, a "HIGH" risk level is expected in Fier County, a "MODELAR" risk level in other counties./ CNA
