KPA upholds dismissal of Administrative Court judge

The Special Appeals Chamber decided today to uphold the dismissal of Administrative Court judge Avni Sejdi, thus definitively removing him from the justice system.

Judge Sejdi was previously subject to re-evaluation by the KPA on January 19, 2024.

"The panel of the Special Appellate Chamber, composed of Sokol Çomo as chairman, Ina Rama as rapporteur, Albana Shtylla, Mimoza Tasi, Rezarta Schuetz as members, announced the decision on case no. 10/2024, dated 12.03.2024, concerning the appeal of the re-evaluation subject Avni Sejdi against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 733, dated 19.01.2024. At the end of the trial in the consulting room, the panel, based on article 66, point 1, letter "a" of law no. 84/2016, "On the transitional re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania", unanimously decided: Leaving in force the decision no. 733, dated 19.01.2024 of the Independent Qualification Commission "Qualification, which belongs to the subject of the reassessment Avni Sejdi", the announcement states./CNA
