The preliminary hearing for former president Ilir Meta at the GJKKO has been postponed to November 11. Kujtim Cakrani, Meta's lawyer, spoke to reporters after the decision, saying that they will request the removal of judge Irena Gjoka from the process. He said that the judge is politically and legally captured, while accusing her of compromising the process from the beginning.

"We will now begin the battle with the judge. She has made another dangerous decision, she has suspended the detention terms for Mr. Meta. Ms. Gjoka is not a capable judge, but she is both politically and legally trapped. We will continue the battle for the removal of this judge. She has compromised in this entire process since the first session."

The reason for the postponement of today's session was the absence of the lawyer of the former MP, Monika Kryemadhi, one of the defendants in the case.
