The hearing for Berisha and Malltez is postponed

GJKKO has postponed the hearing for former prime minister Sali Berisha and his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi.

Berisha and Malltezi had requested the revocation of the "house arrest" security measure.

The next session on the security measure will be held at 15:00 on March 12.

Defense lawyers have again requested the dismissal of judge Irena Gjoka.

The lawyers also asked for time to familiarize themselves with the two-month information filed by SPAK regarding the investigations into the privatization of the former Partizani complex.

We remind you that since December 30, the chairman of the DP is under house arrest.

The Special Prosecutor's Office accuses the former prime minister of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", carried out in cooperation with his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezin.

SPAK claims that Berisha, in his capacity as Prime Minister, has favored the privatization procedures of the former "Partizani" complex and the direct beneficiary has been Malltezi.
