"Albania is being emancipated"/ Kumbaro: Vjosa National Park is no longer a fairy tale

Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro

The Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, spoke after declaring Vjosa a National Park.

Kumbaro stated that this decision is a clear sign that Albania is developing and growing.

"Today, Rexhep Uka wrote to me, Vjosa is a bride who shows her grace. And this was a very nice message I received today. Over 12 thousand hectares and here it is, Vjosa National Park now. It is not a fairy tale but reality, of a work done by several dozen experts.

It is the reality of the vision of the Albanian government that has declared the environment a priority. It is the reality of an Albania that grows, emancipates. Sign of political and social emancipation. This is evident from several years of communication. We got here thanks to intensive communication. We managed to build a collaborative team between environmental organizations and Albanian institutions," said Mirela Kumbaro./ CNA.al
