Privatization of naval bases/ Muçollari: Legal obligation falls on the General Staff

Artur Meçollari stated that the privatization of the Limion naval base is illegal.

According to him, this illegality comes as the beginning of the procedure for privatization should be initiated by the General Staff and not by the Naval Forces.

Invited to the show "Revieë", Meçollari said that the application of VKM 54 can start only after the approval of the President.

 "Property near the spread is in use and in this case based on the law of powers, the Institution that legally initiates the modification is the General Staff, not the Navy. The General Staff has the legal obligation to start the procedure, until the President approves and if the President approves the division of the property, after that I can start the application of VKM 54 for this property", said the former deputy commander of the Naval Forces, Artur Meçollari./ CNA.al
