The head of PAA, Agron Duka, reacted strongly after the dismissal of the director of the Divjaka Park, Ardian Koçi.

According to Duke, this is an absurd decision and the reason for which he was fired is because he appeared in an interview without asking the director of Protected Areas.

Duka underlines that this is the way the government treats the administration, calling it a demotivation for honest people who love work.

Përmes medias u informova për shkarkimin nga detyra të drejtorit të Parkut natyror Divjakë-Karavasta, Z.Ardian Koçi.

Nuk e njoh personalisht, por kam parë vazhdimisht në media transformimin që ka pësuar ky park nën drejtimin e tij. Kam parë reportazhe e dokumentarë televizivë, vlerësimet që janë bërë nga gazetarët, organizata mjedisore dhe qytetarë që kanë vizituar këtë park. Kam parë rikthimin e Pelikanit Kaçurrel, shpendit të rrallë që ka zgjedhur të ngrejë shtëpinë e në këtë cep të Mesdheut.

Por më bëri shumë përshtypje motivi për shkarkimin e tij.

Kishte dhënë një intevistë tek Zëri i Amerikës, pa pyetur drejtoreshën e Zonave të Mbrojtura. Edhe pse kishte folur për rritjen e turistëve që vizitojnë këtë park….

This is bordering on stupidity. Mr. Koci has been managing this park for over 10 years, he has passed several environment ministers and is a man who deserves to have some decoration hung around his neck. But dismissing him because he spoke to the media is absurd.

This is evidence of the way the government handles the administration, where a man passionate about work and nature is fired because only the minister should speak on television, only she should be proud of the work done.

This is a demotivation for honest working people and we as PAA express our indignation for such decisions and ask for its correction as soon as possible", wrote Duka./ CNA.al
