The German newspaper, BILD, has published this Monday an article about Albania, where it highlights organized crime.
The article "Albania, the narco-state in front of our door" is one of the main headlines with which today's print newspaper opened.
"Bild" says that Germany is flooded with cocaine like never before and "Albania is always in focus".
The German media describes our country as the epicenter of the European cocaine mafia. Quoting the Minister of the Interior of Germany, Nancy Faeser, "Bild" writes that Albanian gangs are subverting the drug market in Germany.
"Albanian organized crime with its connections in South America is particularly the focus of the investigators," said the minister.
The article emphasizes that "the drug mafia has connections up to the highest political levels in Albania".
The German newspaper also mentions Olsi Rama, the brother of Prime Minister Edi Rama, whom it says is involved in investigations into drug trafficking.
