The national action that has also started in Shkodra to free up public spaces has been welcomed by Shkodra citizens. They say that this intervention is overdue, as on many streets of the city, sidewalks and recreational spaces are occupied by private businesses, encroaching on spaces dedicated to citizens.

The action in this city has been welcomed by citizens, who say that it is a belated decision as it has created difficulties in crossing sidewalks.

"It's only right that this is the right thing to do, they should be released. They have blocked the road, there is no way to pass, shame and shame on them," the citizens say.

 

"For me, this is an overdue action, the city's streets and pedestrian areas should also be cleared," says another.

For several days now, the Shkodra Municipal Police have been on the ground, notifying all businesses that have occupied public spaces with illegal metal structures and platforms in areas designated for pedestrians. Unlike some other cities, in Shkodra a significant portion of businesses have responded positively to this action, voluntarily vacating public spaces, in compliance with the order issued by the Municipal Police officers.

On Monday, the Municipal Police structures and other institutions of the Municipality of Shkodra will be on the ground to implement the orders filed with businesses, in case they have not voluntarily vacated public spaces./ CNA
