The Social Security Institute and the Italian INPS have signed the Technical Agreement for the electronic exchange of forms under the pension agreement between Albania and Italy.

The news was announced by the director of ISSH, Astrit Hado, who, through a post on social networks, says that the agreement aims to facilitate and accelerate administrative procedures by enabling the secure exchange of requests electronically.

Further, Hado says that the signing of this document is another concrete step towards the implementation of the bilateral agreement, for citizens who have contributions in Albania and Italy.

 

“ Official meeting between INPS and ISSH for the Technical Agreement on the electronic exchange of forms.

Within the framework of the implementation of the Agreement on Social Security between the Republic of Albania and the Italian Republic, which entered into force on July 1, 2025, the Technical Agreement for the electronic exchange of implementing forms was signed today by the heads of the two high-level technical delegations of Albania and Italy, by Mr. Astrit Hado - Director General of ISSH and Ms. Valeria Vittimberga - Director General of INPS.

For the first time, in the agreement with Italy, forms will be exchanged electronically, shortening the time for transmitting documentation for granting benefits.

This agreement aims to facilitate and accelerate administrative procedures between the competent social security institutions of the two countries, enabling the secure and efficient exchange of benefit requests in both countries, electronically.

"The signing of this document constitutes another concrete step in the full implementation of the bilateral agreement, with the aim of guaranteeing the rights of citizens who have worked and contributed both in Albania and in Italy ," Hado writes./ CNA
