Shehu accuses Rama: He has an unfriendly attitude towards the Trump

Democratic Party MP Tritan Shehu has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of maintaining an unfriendly stance towards the United States of America, following the election of Donald Trump as president. 

Invited to Syri TV, Shehu said that the Albanian government is the only one in Europe that did not welcome the Trump administration's Peace Plan for Ukraine. According to him, Albania, despite being a small country, should have had a reaction regarding the 28-point plan.

"I think we are facing an absurd, dangerous and damaging situation for Albania. Because the Prime Minister continues to maintain an unfriendly relationship or attitude, at least conflicting, accusatory, towards the United States of America, undoubtedly since the Trump administration came to power, at the direction of the United States of America. There are several statements in a row. There are several positions of the media here in Albania, if you look closely at the pro-Rama, who do not lose, do not want to lose any opportunity without attacking the Trump administration, President Trump, his positions.

But there is another thing. Rama, perhaps the Albanian government is the only government in Europe that did not welcome, for example, President Trump's Middle East Peace Plan. It did not encourage it and did not say a good word about this plan, which apparently is being developed despite the difficulties and is moving forward trying to ensure a period of peace in that area.

It was the Rama government, it was Rama personally who did not say a single positive and encouraging word, regardless of how small a country and how small a role we may have, but declamatory, this must be done because we are also members of NATO, for the Trump 28-point plan for peace in Ukraine.

"A single plan that is today for that peace and around which all discussions are being held to achieve peace and a ceasefire in Ukraine. In addition to other elements, which really only seek to insult the Trump presidency and the actions of the United States of America, the White House, to strengthen stability and peace in, in the entire world, as the only force that can create these, these premises and about which everyone else is discussing ," said Shehu. /CNA
