Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that the Thumanë-Kashar road segment will be passable on June 30, 2024.

During the conference with journalists in Shkodër, Rama said that the opening of Thumane-Kashari will make this season much easier and the entire segment will be completed.

Rama underlined that we will have a total construction site ready that will open from north to south.

"The work on the projects starts before the projects are visible and in fact we have ready a number of segments that are above and below Thumane-Kashar that we believe will become passable on June 30 and to give you a simple example, keep in mind that infrastructure projects take longer and in more developed countries than us. We needed some legal corrections in the contracts. The tenders are done, everything is ready and we will have a total construction site that will open from the north in the south.

The last segment that is in the project phase is the segment from Shkodra that connects down with all the other segments, Milot-Balldren, then comes Fieri and finally connects to Vlora, all this will be a new road, it will there are two alternatives, paid and free. The opening of Thumanë-Kashari will make this season much easier. Then it will be the end of the whole segment. It is difficult to pass, excruciating for all who traverse this segment.
