"Whenever there is a big fire, there is failure"/ Peleshi's order for mayors

Defense Minister Niko Peleshi held a meeting with the mayors of several municipalities regarding the massive fires that have engulfed Peshtani e Fieri and the landfill in Vlora.

Peleshi said that such cases show that the monitoring and early warning network has failed, allowing the fires to progress.

He calls for the strengthening of this system and for full vigilance in every municipality to prevent such cases.

"Every time there is a big fire there is a failure of the monitoring and early warning network.

If it is announced early, there is no possibility that the fire will take large proportions.

The truth is that the monitoring system improves a lot from year to year, but there are also some municipalities where this does not work properly.

Vigilance should be everywhere starting from the communities.

Early warning is decisive," writes Peleshi.
