The Pogradec-Tushemisht-Dogane road, Lot 2, will be completely reconstructed and for this a contract with a value of 3.48 million dollars has already been signed. This value also includes Value Added Tax.

The Contracting Authority of this procedure was the Albanian Development Fund, which announced earlier the signing of the contract with the winning operator.

According to the announcement, the implementation will be done by the union of operators "4 A - M" sh.p.k. & "GPG Company" sh.p.k. The works specified in the contract regarding the complete reconstruction of the road are expected to be completed within 6 months. "The project aims at the complete reconstruction of the Pogradec-Tushemisht road. The required works consist of: road construction, road reconstruction, urban improvement works, landscape rehabilitation works.

The Pogradec-Tushemisht-Dogane road is part of the Regional and Local Roads Connectivity project, which has been supported by the World Bank for several years now. This project has a fund of USD 50 million and consists of three main components: Civil works and road safety initiatives; capacity building for LGUs; management during implementation.
