Three residents of the Prodan area risked drowning in the waters of the Prodan - Gjonç stream after they tried to cross their car and were swept away by the flow of water.

It took the timely intervention of the fire service of the municipality of Kolonja, which made their rescue possible, as the river flows were large as a result of the heavy rainfall.

According to the fire service, the three residents tried to cross their off-road vehicle from one side of the stream to the other side, but the large flow of water seriously endangered their lives, as all three found it impossible to get out of the off-road vehicle.

Residents notified the fire service, which arrived at the scene at the right time.

From time to time, in severe situations with heavy rainfall, there are streams in the villages of the municipality of Kolonje where there are no shortage of such situations, this in most cases also due to the damage of bridges./ CNA
