Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha is in Vlora this morning, where he paid tributes in front of the grave of Ismail Qemali, the man who raised the flag in Vlora and proclaimed the Independence of Albania on November 28, 1912.

After the tributes in a statement to the media, Berisha said that he swore in front of the grave of Ismail Bej Vlora that the Albanian pashiq, referring to Prime Minister Edi Rama, will be packed in Belgrade where he belongs.

"Today, Albanians everywhere bow with boundless gratitude to the immortal work of Ismail Bey Vlora.

With his act and extraordinary courage, Ismail Bej Vlora made possible the existence of Albania and the Albanian nation. Without this act, Albania and the Albanians faced the abyss. Today they are members of NATO, Kosovo is independent.

I came to swear in front of the grave of Ismail Bej Vlora, that the Albanian pashik who placed the crown there, has the last knowledge that the Albanians will pack it in Belgrade where it belongs. The nation has never had a traitor like this. This is a promise to the father of Independence that the pashik will not have a place in Tirana but with his master in Belgrade.
