The Prime Minister, Edi Rama, says that the Albanian economy has the lowest inflation average in the region.
He said at the Extended Assembly of the Socialist Party in Vlora that next year we believe that inflation will return to its usual rate.
According to him, we have a strong currency from the strengthening of the economy.
"The Albanian economy has the lowest inflation average in the region. Next year we believe that inflation will return to its usual rate. We have a strong currency from the strengthening of the economy. We increased the minimum salary to 400 million euros, but today we have a salary that is not just 100,000 lek but 400 euros. Salaries which next year will have a significant new increase and for which we have allocated 400 million euros in the budget.
This significant increase in wages will make the average wage in the middle of next year be 900 euros. An average salary of 900 euros in the public sector until a few years ago would have seemed something for electoral consumption. We are reaching it faster than the forecast and it is a significant fact for the improved economic situation. The increase in wages in tourism will also come from the need for workers in the tourism industry and to have qualified workers. ", Rama said. / CAN
