The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, on October 14, 2021, warned from the Parliament that Albania will launch two satellites into Earth's orbit.

While on October 20, 2021, Prime Minister Rama declared that the Albania 1 satellite will be launched in March and Albania 2 in June.

Already, the much talked about and commented satellites are not just an initiative but a project that has started to be implemented.

After the cancellation of the first tender for launching the 'Albania 1' and 'Albania 2' satellites because there was no offer, the situation has now been resolved.

The Public Procurement Agency has announced that the winner has been announced for the "competitive dialogue" procedure for satellites organized by the Civil Defense Agency, an institution under the Ministry of Defense.

The winner of this tender is the American company "Satellogic USA" Inc.

It will cost the Albanian government 6 million dollars, or 671,760,000 ALL, for a period of 3 years. /CNA.al
