The family of the officer, who jumped from a height a few days ago, has reacted for the first time after news in the media about the reasons for undertaking this serious act.

The announcement states that the condition of Traffic Police officer Azbi Spahiu is improving.

Regarding the reasons that led the officer to commit the act of self-sacrifice, the family members state that they were personal reasons that were not related to pressure from superiors or anyone else. The relatives request respect for privacy.

"In response to media interest, we, the Spahiu family, feel obliged to clarify the situation of our relative, Azbiu.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who, in these difficult days, have stood by us. First of all, we thank our friends, relatives, work colleagues and any other person who has shown solidarity, even without having previously known us.

Fortunately, our loved one's health is improving and we look forward to him returning to his daily life and work as soon as possible.

We as a family have always been simple and far from the center of attention of the media or public opinion. The current situation has created concern, not only for Azbi, but also for us as a family, our friends and relatives. This excessive attention and untrue insinuations do not help, on the contrary, they aggravate our situation. For this reason, we ask everyone to respect our privacy and not to speculate on personal matters, which no one knows and does not need to know.

As the doctors have advised us, what Azbiu needs most right now is peace. We greatly appreciate everyone's interest and support, but we ask for understanding that no action be taken in our name, because it does not help us.

For all those who have been concerned about Azbiu's health and safety, we would like to confirm that this is a personal situation and is not related to any pressure due to duty from superiors, colleagues, citizens or businessmen, as has been alluded to on several occasions.

We thank each and every one of you for your sincere support. We are grateful for the hard work of the doctors at the Trauma Hospital, who are helping Azbiu recover quickly. With their help and the support of all our friends, we are confident that everything will return to normal.
