The head of the World Health Organization, Hans Kluge Jr., has thanked Albania and Prime Minister Edi Rama for their contribution to helping people injured in the war in Gaza.
Albania began medical treatment for a one-year-old child injured in Gaza on Thursday, while also accommodating the child's family.
Regarding this action, Hans Kluge Jr. emphasized that Albania aligns itself with France, Romania and Norway in support of those wounded in the fighting in Gaza.
"Thank you, Your Excellency Prime Minister Edi Rama, for joining hands with other WHO/European member states, including France, Norway and Romania, in support of sick and injured patients from Gaza.
I believe this marks the beginning of many life-saving evacuations in Albania and I hope your compassionate actions inspire others to follow suit, over 12,000 patients are still in urgent need of medical care outside Gaza.” /CNA
