DP MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted to the statement made by Prime Minister Edi Rama this morning regarding the Porto Palermo bay.

Këlliçi writes that Rama has openly lied, while publishing several official documents that, according to him, show what is planned for Porto Palermo.

He further adds that the entire map of Albania, with its natural resources, coastline and beauties, has become a table where private interests are shared at the expense of public interest.

This, according to the MP, is the reason why protesters fill the squares every night.

Edi Rama is openly LIING. Look what he has planned for Porto Palermo

Today Edi Rama declared that he has taken Porto Palermo under his protection. But official documents show the complete opposite!

On the agenda of the National Council of Territory and Water, dated 25.09.2025, at 13:00, at point no. 60, a draft decision was approved for the construction of a 2 MW photovoltaic plant in Porto Palermo, with the developer Sea Solar Energy sh.pk.

This decision contradicts the decision of the KKT No. 07, dated 27.07.2022, which declared the Porto Palermo Bay an area of ??national importance in planning and approved the boundaries of the protected area and the internal zoning of the natural marine-coastal ecosystem of the Porto Palermo Natural Park.

So, while it talks about protection, in practice it grants building permits.

Porto Palermo also turns out to be part of the same model: projects planned for clients, friends and oligarchs. Today, the entire map of Albania, with its natural resources, coastline and beauties, has become a table where private interests are shared at the expense of the public interest.

Citizens have understood the truth.

That's why the squares are filling up. Because Albania is not the property of one man, nor is it loot to be divided among a handful of beneficiaries.
