Irena Gjoka is one of the judges who has reviewed the case of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha regarding the allegations of passive corruption for the "Partizani" file.

The defense of former Prime Minister Berisha asked for her exclusion from the case as she was in conflict of interest after he dismissed her from office in 1996.

Documents have been published today that show that Irena Gjoka was dismissed in 1996 by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, then President of Albania.

Syri Tv has published the document of the dismissal of Irena Maneku (Gjoka) by Sali Berisha, in the capacity of President of the High Council of Justice.

In decision No. 7, dated 8.02.1996 of the High Council of Justice, it is stated that: "Irena Maneku is dismissed from the position of judge for incapacity in the performance of duty".

Thus, Irena Gjoka lied to the vetting bodies by not declaring that she was dismissed from office.
