Protesters don't stop/ Warning for Veliaj in front of the Municipality of

The citizens have not stopped, but have gathered again to protest in front of the Municipality of Tirana this Monday.

With banners in their hands and with calls, they demanded the resignation of the mayor of the capital, Erion Veliajt.

The citizens declare that they will not surrender, but will continue the protests. The vice president of the Municipal Council of Tirana, Dorian Teliti, has also given such a warning.

He said that with sustained protests, the main goal, the change of power, will be achieved.

"In this protest of the 11th we have shown something, that we do not give up. We do not give in to the police fences, nor to the pressures, nor to the spacesuits that are approaching now, nor to the purchased media stores.

We do not give up because we are in the right, the citizens. We will not give up until the day that those who have stolen and are destroying Tirana and Albania come to justice and receive the punishment they deserve.

Our future and that of our children lies in the only hope to return Tirana and Albania to the tracks of democracy.

Our parents have seen and lived the dictatorship. Many of us have seen and lived it, although at a young age.

We do not accept the dictatorship and any intention of the current majority at the central and local level to install the dictatorship in Tirana and Albania will receive the deserved response of the united Albanians, because only united we will succeed.

The goal of major change can only be achieved through consistent, periodic, non-returning, and ever-more protest.

Therefore, all of us must continue to remain more convinced than ever that we are on the side of the right and the responsibility is on our shoulders, the responsibility to make Tirana a normal and livable city", emphasized Teliti./ CNA
