Protest in front of the State Police for the ban on skateboards/ Citizen: Decision without legal basis

A protest against the ban on skateboards took place today in front of the State Police building. The citizens who protested spoke out against the order of the Minister of Interior, Albana Koçiu, to ban the movement of skateboards.

"How can the minister, with a statement on 'Facebook', stop the work of several businesses that deal with the sale or repair of scooters. These businesses have practically gone bankrupt. We are faced with several things that have no connection or logical argument and no legal basis. The problem of the use of scooters by young people or irresponsible people is problematic, but the state must act on a legal basis and rules ," one of the citizens told the media.

We recall that hundreds of electric skateboards have been seized since Monday, the day on which the order of the Minister of Interior, Albana Koçiu, came into effect. /CNA
