"The prosecutor's office should conduct quick investigations"/

The Albanian Committee of Helsinki (KShH) has condemned the act of violence, which occurred at the rally on December 6, the head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.

In their statement, the Committee calls on the prosecution "to conduct fast, objective and comprehensive investigations, including the statements related to this event by Mr. Berisha."

Komiteti Shqiptar i Helsinkit (KShH) dënon aktin e dhunës, që në tubimin e datës 6 Dhjetor 2022, u përdor ndaj deputetit të Kuvendit të Shqipërisë z. Sali Berisha, ish President i Republikës së Shqipërisë dhe ish Kryeministër i vendit. Personi që kreu këtë vepër kriminale u identifikua, ndërsa Prokuroria pranë Gjykatës së Rrethit Gjyqësor Tiranë filloi menjëherë çështjen penale.
KShH i sugjeron organit të Prokurorisë pranë Gjykatës së Rrethit Gjyqësor Tiranë, që të zhvillojë hetime të shpejta, objektive dhe të gjithanshme, përfshirë edhe deklaratat lidhur me këtë ngjarje të z. Berisha, para gazetarëve menjëherë pas përfundimit të tubimit.
KSH considers it necessary to emphasize that peaceful and unarmed gatherings are guaranteed by article 47 of our Constitution and article 11 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).
