Expert: Security failed with the attack on Berisha

The security expert, Fatjon Softa, says that the attack on the chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha yesterday during the protest, showed that the security has failed.

In the show "Good Morning Albanians" on Euronews Albania, Softa said that there should be security measures, since Berisha, as well as the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, have held high state positions.

 "If we are going to call it an incident, we will call it an isolated case. If we call it an attack, it is definitely an analysis. Such major events, it is expected that there will be situations which can be uncontrolled and unforeseen.

 Certainly there should have been security measures, not only that there is a special status for the personalities of the country, who have been in the highest positions, ex-president, ex-prime minister and ultimately, the leader of the opposition. I think that the security failed, it was probably not at the level of special attention and the State Police should definitely be as well", he emphasized./CNA.al
