Problems with vote counters in Rrogozhinë/Celibashi, proposal to political

After the problems with the vote counters in Rrogozhin, the head of CEC Ilirjan Celibashi has emphasized the necessity of changing the way of organization and functioning of the election commissions of the second and third levels.

Celibashi states that the administration of elections at these levels by persons designated only by political parties does not ensure either the integrity of the process or its technical good administration.

The head of the CEC has requested that the political parties evaluate this consideration of the CEC.

" Perhaps it is not the time or even the occasion, but I must bring to attention now, especially after the elections on July 23, 2023 in Rrogozhinë, the necessity for changing the way of organization and operation of the election commissions of the second and third levels.

The administration of elections at these levels by persons designated only by political parties does not ensure either the integrity of the process or its technical good administration. I hope that the political parties will realistically and without prejudice evaluate this consideration of the CEC", said Celibashi./ CNA
