"Prevent Russian funding" / Yuri Kim's orders to political

The General Secretary of the Socialist Party, Damian Gjiknuri, after the meeting with the American Ambassador Yuri Kim, stated that the focus of the conversation with the leaders of the main political parties was only related to the financing of the parties. He declares that the USA, as the main ally of Albania, has requested that political parties and not only, be careful with the sources from which they receive their finances, in order to avoid and prevent financing from Russia. 

"The focus was on justice and the measures that the government and the parties should take to stop unnecessary financing and the source is unknown.

There is a good legal framework, so that parties do not receive such funding. Parties should avoid dubious funding. The main concern of the Aletes was the introduction of foreign influences, mainly Russian, to political parties, but also to other organizations," Gjiknuri said./ CNA.al
