The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, spoke today in the Assembly about the energy crisis.

Responding to the accusations of the opposition, Balluku said that today 99.6% of electricity bills are collected, unlike what happened in 2013.

Among other things, Balluku emphasized that Albania is the first country in the region, where, according to her, more than 22 million euros are given as aid to citizens.

"In terms of aid, Albania gives 22 million and 205 thousand euros. The second place after Albania is Bosnia and Herzegovina. Serbia provides support of 9 million, Kosovo, 4.5 million. These are the numbers. So Albania today and in the years that have passed, supports groups in need with over 22 million euros. By the end of September, 300 million of the electricity budgets have been consumed. 140 million were taken from the state budget. The figure that when Albania was flooded and we produced 11 terras, we used to import. But today the megawatt is more than 600 euros. The energy sector is based on facts. Energy interruptions and restrictions will not be applied in Albania. We have been protecting citizens for more than a year and keeping the price under 9.5 lek", said Balluku./ CNA.al
