The great artist, Reshat Arbana, celebrates his 82nd birthday today. The Albanian cinematographer was born on September 15, 1940 in Tirana.

Reshat Arbana has performed about 35 characters in films and theater.

Arbana's first role was in 1963. After finishing her studies at the acting school Aleksandër Mojsiu, near the National Theater of Albania, in 1968 Arbana started working at Radio Tirana.

From 1977 until his retirement, he worked as an actor at the National Theatre.

Arbana is noted for his masterful interpretation of his roles.

Disa nga rolet që ka luajtur janë Samiu tek “Fije që priten”, kryetari i Bashkisë tek “Gjeneral gramafoni”, Bimbashi tek “Liri a vdekje”, Isa Boletini tek “Nëntori i dytë”, Ahmeti tek “Dora e ngrohtë”  dhe shumë role të tjerë.

Disa vite, pasi doli në pension Reshat Arbana do të rikthehej, si protagonist tek “Streha e të harruarve” e dramaturgut Ruzhdi Pulaha me regji të Mihal Luarasit.

Më 7 tetor 2011 Presidenti i Republikës, Bamir Topi i akordoi zotit Reshat Arbana Urdhrin “Nderi i Kombit” me motivacionin: “Aktorit të shquar të teatrit dhe kinematografisë, i cili me interpretimin mjeshtëror dhe origjinalitetin e tij u bë një artist popullor e shumë i dashur për publikun, rolet e të cilit kanë pasuruar me vlera të paçmueshme kulturën kombëtare.”
