"Fiscal peace"/ Baçi: An agreement between powerful businesses,

Democratic Party MP Luan Baçi spoke today about the law on “Fiscal Peace.” Baçi said that Fiscal Peace is the same as Fiscal Amnesty.

Invited to Syri TV, the MP expressed that an unstudied and undisputed amnesty with interest groups, for which, according to him, no one has information about what it is for and for whom it is being done. The MP emphasized that the list of businesses that benefit from this amnesty should be made public.

"If you notice, the majority MPs themselves do not have the right information about the entire Fiscal Peace or all the other laws. It is enough that it comes from the government, and that is all you need to approve it. We must say that the Fiscal Peace is a pardon, it is a Fiscal Amnesty. It is an unstudied amnesty, undisputed with interest groups, no one has information about what it is for and for whom it is for. We have requested as a parliamentary group of the DP to make public in advance the list of those who benefit from this Fiscal Peace. They tell us that it is sensitive data, but it is not at all. So it is a Fiscal Peace studied by the government itself, for its clients so that only they benefit and no others. We have requested that the construction sector be excluded, it should not be in this fiscal peace. We have a drastic drop in the euro exchange rate, which consequently should also cause the price of housing to fall. So what is being done here is money laundering. In the amendments that we will present there, we have "requested that tax authorities have the legal obligation for all businesses, including construction ones, that will benefit from this amnesty, to report to other institutions, such as the money laundering one. To be in the focus of control for the activity they have. Here it smells that there is an agreement between powerful businesses, oligarchs and the government", said the deputy, among other things.   /CNA
