Non-Grata in Great Britain / ISP wants investigations into the "black"

The Institute of Political Studies welcomes the UK government's decision to take anti-corruption sanctions in Albania "against several Albanian individuals in connection with widely publicized and documented crime and corruption".

ISP joins the assessment that "the support that some public figures receive from criminals in exchange for their corrupt acts, drowns the voice of Albanian citizens" and that "as long as politicians are able to cooperate with criminals to buy, blackmail and threatening voters, Albanian democracy will remain fragile and incomplete".

Duke qenë organizata e vetme e shoqërisë civile që monitoron prej disa vitesh standardet e integritetit dhe dekriminalizimit Instituti i Studimeve Politike (ISP) apelon qeverinë amerikane, qeverinë britanike dhe qeveritë e vendeve kryesore në BE të vijojnë të aplikojnë masa të tilla antikorrupsion.

Nevoja për demokraci funksionale në Shqipëri është shumë më e madhe sesa nevoja për stabilitet. Elitat e korruptuara politike nuk mund të jetë shpresë, garanci dhe as partner të besueshëm për reforma, progres dhe integrim”, thuhet në njoftimin e ISP-së.

ISP calls for corrupt politicians not to be simply left in the framework of non-women ports and investigated.

ISP appeals to SPAK for exhaustive investigations into corrupt and abusive scandals involving high public & political officials.

There is also an appeal for the Assembly to reform the parliamentary control mechanism, the internal regulatory acts, as well as to prioritize the real electoral reform and the reform in the legislation of the political parties.

"Political parties should adopt and apply integrity standards in their decision-making structures and remove from their ranks subjects penalized by decriminalization and Western sanctions.

Time for clean politics, for strong institutions instead of strong leaders, for transparency and accountability", says the announcement of the ISP. /CNA.al
