 "Freezing" of the Vlora Airport case / Pacolli

Businessman Behgjet Pacolli has reacted after the announcement of the decision of the Tirana Court, published a day earlier on CNA, which has decided to freeze the current situation of the company VIA sh.pk, until a final decision is made. 

According to Pacolli, it is concerning that a lower-level court would ignore, annul, and openly challenge the decisions of the Supreme Court Panel, deciding differently on the same legal issues previously handled by the highest instance of justice.

The businessman emphasizes that such a practice, in addition to severely harming the party, violates legal certainty, the judicial hierarchy and citizens' trust in the justice system, and also seriously damages the image and seriousness of the Albanian state.

"It is concerning that in the Albanian judicial system a judge of a lower court ignores, annuls and openly challenges the decisions of the Supreme Court Panel, deciding differently on the same legal issues previously handled by the highest instance of justice.

Such a practice, in addition to severely damaging the party, violates legal certainty, the judicial hierarchy and citizens' trust in the justice system, and also seriously damages the image and seriousness of the Albanian state.

Public opinion should know that the delays in completing the works at Vlora Airport and in starting operations are being caused by well-organized groups that act in violation of the law and that, according to our belief, are linked to factors operating within the institutions.

Time will tell the truth and highlight the responsibilities for this situation.
