From Shkodra to Vlora, the Ministry of Defense has updated data regarding the fire situation in the last 24 hours.

It is reported that so far 50 fires have been identified, 19 of which still remain active.

The active foci are as follows:

- The Vlora region, in the municipalities of Finiq and Delvina, near the Blue Eye Natural Park, continues to be active and problematic, while 8 firefighting vehicles are operating on the ground, 4 of which are from the Armed Forces and about 90 operational forces, supported by an Air Force helicopter as well as 2 Greek PZL aircraft, 1 Czech helicopter and 1 Slovak. Today, work is expected to continue with the same capacities, assisted by 1 Black Hawk helicopter of the Air Force.

- In the "Rëzom" park (protected area), at the top of "Lucës", above the Skërfica tunnel, the fire continues in an area of bushes and forests, the rugged terrain makes intervention from the ground impossible. The situation is being monitored and appears stable.

- Dibër County, on the Mountain with Holes in Biz of Martanesh, Bulqiza Municipality in a protected area, this fire continues to be active, which has developed intensely above the village of Val, far from inhabited areas in a rocky area where rare plants and herbs are burning. The situation is being monitored by local authorities.

- In the village of Xibër, Klos municipality, the fire source has been isolated and is being monitored by local authorities.

- Berat region, in the municipality of Poliçan, outside the territory of the Mechanical Plant, the fire continues to burn, approaching the city near the Elderly Home. The situation has worsened in the village of Plirëz, Poliçan and residents are being evacuated. Five vehicles and about 75 operational forces are working at the scene, supported by the air with an Air Force helicopter.

- In the village of Rehova, Poliçan municipality, the fire has advanced near the houses. Residents have been evacuated for a long time and local operational forces have been operating.

- Tirana County, a fire continues to burn in the area called "Bërzhitës Mountain", Ibë village, where operational forces continue to work to extinguish it.

- In the village of Stërbeg, Rrogozhina municipality, where the fire has spread to the village of Spanesh. Forces and vehicles from the Rrogozhina Municipal Fire Department are at the scene and are working to extinguish the fire.

- In the village of Hajdaraj, Kavaja municipality, the fires are nearing complete extinction, where forces on the ground are also supported by air, with an aircraft currently working to extinguish the last fire.

- A large-scale fire has broken out on the dominant heights of the villages of Damjan and Isufaj, Arbanë area, Vaqarr administrative unit. Currently, although the terrain is difficult, 6 vehicles and about 40 forces from operational structures are operating, as well as a Croatian Canadair aircraft.

- In the villages of Ferraj and Zall-Herr, Tirana Municipality, in the fire spread in an area of bushes and brambles, firefighting vehicles from the MZSH are operating, but the situation appears complicated and homes are at risk. The forces on the ground have been joined by 2 Blackhawk helicopters from the United Arab Emirates.

- In the hills of Selita, Tirana municipality, a fire has broken out in an area of bushes and thorns. There is no access for vehicles. The situation is being monitored by municipal forces.

- Durrës County, in the village of Barkanesh, Krujë municipality, a fire has been activated in difficult terrain, where local operational vehicles and forces are operating.

- Gjirokastër district, in the village of Turan, Tepelenë municipality, work has continued to extinguish the fire, which spread towards the villages of Lekel and Koder, where two stables were burned, but with minimal damage to livestock. Around 100 forces and vehicles from all over the Gjirokastër district operated on the ground, and work continues today, assisted by two Czech and Slovak helicopters.

- Elbasan County, in the village of Mukaj and the village of Sojnik, Gramsh municipality, the fire continues to be active in areas with bushes and heath, where the operational forces of the Gramsh MZSH operated, supported by 25 Elbasan Armed Forces personnel.

- Shkodra region, a fire has been activated at the entrance to the city of Puka, local operational forces continue their work. The situation is under control and does not pose a danger.

- In the village of Xath, in the municipality of Fushë Arrëz, a fire has broken out in an area of pine trees, which does not allow for intervention by ground forces. The situation has been very difficult and the fire has grown in size. In addition to approximately 80 local operational forces, 65 forces of the Armed Forces are also operating today, with 2 firefighting vehicles.

- Kukës region, a fire has been activated in the village of Gegaj, Tropojë municipality, without danger to homes. Around 60 forces from local operational structures and 5 firefighting vehicles have been engaged. The fire remains active but isolated and without danger of spreading.

- In the municipality of Kukës, a fire in a forest area in the place called Maja e Zezë, Shëmri village continues to be monitored.

Korça region, in the village of Gërmenj, Kolonjë municipality, a fire has been activated in an area of pine forests. The terrain is difficult and the operational forces are unable to intervene. The situation is under supervision by the Kolonjë MZSH.

82 firefighting vehicles and 1,080 operational forces were deployed in firefighting operations.

According to IGJEO information, no precipitation is expected today.

Regarding forest fires, a "HIGH" risk level is expected in all regions. In some regions, a "VERY HIGH" risk is expected only in localized areas, specifically: Shkodër region (South), Lezhë region (North), Elbasan region (West).

Maximum temperatures are expected to reach up to 41 °C in low-lying areas, so we reiterate the call for citizens to show increased caution and report any fires to local authorities. / CNA
