Changes in the State Police/New names in Elbasan, Korça and Shkodra

The State Police is undergoing a significant reorganization at the regional leadership level. The Director General, Ilir Proda, has officially opened the competition for the positions of leaders of the Elbasan, Korçë and Shkodër regions, in accordance with the law on the renewal of leadership structures.

The list of applicants includes several names with long experience in the blue uniform, including Loard Sallaku, Uljan Shpataraku, Islor Islami, Alban Çela and Dritan Lena.

Who is expected to lead Elbasan?

One of the strongest candidates for the leadership of the Elbasan Police is career officer Loard Sallaku, who has 21 years of experience in the ranks of the State Police. For five months, he has held the position of acting director of the Kukes Police and is considered one of the most promising names in the leadership structures.

Movement also in Korça

Uljan Shpataraku, with over 15 years of experience, remains a potential candidate for the leadership of the Korça Police. This position is vacant after the departure of former director Erjon Ahmeti, who was dismissed by Proda.

Shkodra towards confirming a well-known name

Currently, the leadership of the Shkodra Police is commanded by Gentian Berberi, who last year won the competition to lead the Kukës Police. After five months in Shkodra, he is part of the list of winners in the open competition and is expected to be officially confirmed in this position.

Who will lead Kukës?

For the Kukës district, the race is between three officers: Islor Islami, Alban Çela and Dritan Lena, from whom the new leader is expected to emerge.
