The Commission on "Electoral Affairs" meets/ Gjiknuri: Every issue

The Special Commission for Electoral Reform is holding its next meeting today, where the work calendar of this commission is expected to be approved.

Co-Chair Damian Gjiknuri said during his speech that the subject of this committee's work will be the issues mentioned by the ODIHR or those raised by the parties to the committee.

"We have strict measures in place regarding penalties for electoral crimes. But we are open to more interesting ideas that can address the concerns raised regarding the elections. The essence is that every issue that ODHIR has mentioned, but also those that the parties may raise, will be the subject of this committee's work. The goal is to have the draft approved and agreed upon within the deadline given by the Assembly, to pass it in parliament," he said. 

Gjiknuri also announced that the number of experts will increase to 6, with 3 proposed by the opposition and 3 by the majority.

"We will increase the number of experts. Three from the opposition and three from the majority," Gjiknuri said, among other things. /CNA
