After the end of the mandate, the Constitutional Court has initiated procedures for the election of the new president of this institution.

"The Meeting of Judges of the Constitutional Court, convened by the Chairperson Ms. Marsida Xhaferllari, based on Article 7/d of Law No. 8577, dated 10.2.2000 "On the Organization and Functioning of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania", as amended, and Articles 9 and 10 of the Regulation on Judicial Procedures of the Constitutional Court, with Decision No. 11, dated 02.12.2025, has decided:

Commencement of procedures for the election of the President of the Constitutional Court.

A written request for expression of interest from judges may be submitted no later than 5 days from the entry into force of this decision.

"This decision enters into force immediately," the Constitutional Court announces./ CNA
