In the Territorial Reform Commission, hearings continue on the effect of the administrative division of the country in 2014.

General Director of the Agency for the Support of Local Self-Government, Enea Hoti stated that in these 8 years the number of employees has increased by 11 thousand in the local government.

The administrative division in 2014 has increased by 11 thousand the number of employees in the 61 municipalities of the country. Enea Hoti, General Director of the Agency for the Support of Local Self-Government argued this increase with the higher number of subordinates serving the citizens.

‘Në 2015-ën kanë qenë diku tek 20 mijë punonjës në nivelin vendor, sot në fund të vitit 2021 nga të dhënat që na vijnë nga bashkitë që i ka marrë agjencia, janë diku tek 31 mijë punonjës të bashkive. Sot që flasim ne kemi në stafe të bashkive më shumë zjarrfikës, më shumë edukatorë, më shumë mirëmbajtjës të rrugëve rurale, mirëmbajtës të shkollave”, u shpreh Hoti.

Gjatë raportimit në Komisionin e Reformës Territoriale, Hoti deklaroi se ndarja e vendit 8 vite më parë ka ndihmuar në uljen e borxhit.

“Në 2015-ën rezultonte borxhi publik që kishin bashkitë dhe komunat ishte diku tek 12.7 miliardë lekë, sot që flasim ky borxh është në nivelet 6.5 miliardë lekë. Ka rreth 50 % të borxhit që bashkitë e reja kanë arritur ta menaxhojnë dhe ta ulin”, tha ai.
