Following the cyber attack on government systems, the Foreign Ministry of Albania has ordered the immediate cessation of the application and issuance of biometric documents for citizens in all Albanian consulates around the world.

Through an announcement on social networks, MEPJ asks citizens to show understanding until the situation is resolved. 

"The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs announces that due to the cyber attack on the e-Albania platform, online consular services have been temporarily suspended until further notice.

The cyber attack has damaged the online system, which enables the access of citizens and structures responsible for the application and provision of biometric documents for all Albanian consulates in the world.

The MEPJ is in constant contact with the National Agency of the Information Society, which is working to resolve the unusual situation as quickly as possible and calls on citizens to understand the temporary state of non-access to public services", the announcement of the MEPJ states. -'s. /CNA.al
