The well-known poet Korçar has passed away

Ylber Merdani, the well-known poet from Korça, passed away at the age of 84.

Ylber Merdani is the son of one of the most well-known families of Korça citizens, whose life, like that of the whole family, has passed through an ordeal of suffering and pain.

Since his youth, teacher Ylber Merdani has experienced political imprisonment and later for many years exile in the village of Shtylle i Vithkuqi where he found the largest part of his tribe.

In Shtylle, above all, he found Shpresa, the girl who waited for him to marry the well-known corsair, where a girl and a boy were born.

After 1991, he returned to his hometown of Korça to dedicate himself mostly to poetry and the association of the politically persecuted.

During these years, he published many books of poems and stories from the horror of political prisons.

Ylber Merdani was part of the SPAÇ revolt.

During the last few days, he has been seen walking a little in the streets of his city, it seems that age has not helped him to say goodbye to everyone today....continues
