Bad weather in Vlora/ Navigation is suspended

Bad weather has created problems in Vlora. As a result, the navigation of fishing vessels and small vessels has been suspended. According to the announcement, the waves in the sea will reach a height of over 2 meters today.

Notice on hydrometeorological conditions:

Based on the forecast for the worsening hydrometeorological situation inside and outside the bay of Vlora, during 07.01.2025 starting at 08:00 on 07.01.2025 the hydrometeorological conditions will be in the South-South-East direction at a force of up to 6-7bft with wind speed up to 15-20m/s and wave height from 1.50 to 2.00 meters.

In order to prevent any unexpected situation due to atmospheric conditions, we ask for the cooperation of all entities that exercise activity in the maritime field, to take all the necessary measures to secure the tools in the port and increase the readiness of the crew in the tools floating.

1. It is prohibited to equip small boats and fishing vessels that operate in the open sea with a launch permit, starting from 08:00 on 07.01.2024.

2. All drivers of small boats and fishing vessels operating inside and outside the bay of Vlora should consider the hydrometeorological conditions and take measures for their safety.

3. International sea transport ships will continue to operate normally according to the respective destinations.

4. The improvement of the deteriorated hydrometeorological situation for small boats and fishing will be after 10:00 on 08.01.2025./ CNA
