Monitoring and measuring noise in Tirana / Entities causing noise pollution are

Tirana Police has begun implementing a special plan to monitor and measure noise levels in venues or environments that generate loud music, with the aim of preventing noise pollution and ensuring a quiet and safe environment for citizens.

The plan of measures was undertaken on the initiative of the Tirana Police but also as a direct response to concerns raised by citizens about exceeding permitted noise levels, especially in residential areas and during night hours.

Measurements are being carried out with certified equipment, in accordance with legal and technical standards for noise pollution control.

Administrative measures for entities found in violation range from 2 million lek to 4 million lek, and in case of repetition up to suspension of activity.

As a result of the verifications so far, it has been found that an entity was operating in violation of the legally established norms for noise levels. An administrative measure of a fine of 3 million lek has been imposed on this entity, according to the legislation in force.

The Tirana Local Police Directorate will continue its checks continuously and calls on citizens to report any case of noise pollution through the toll-free number 112 or at the relevant police stations.
