The Council of Ministers has approved this Wednesday the payment for the members of the License Commission, for the cultivation of cannabis for medical purposes.

Members will be paid 25,000 lek per meeting.

But according to the decision, members cannot receive more than 12 payments per year.

"DECISION ON DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF PAYMENT FOR MEMBERS OF THE LICENSE COMMISSION FOR THE CULTIVATION OF CANNABIS FOR MEDICAL PURPOSES

In support of article 100 of the Constitution and letter "a", point 5, article 8, of law no. 35/2023, "On the powers to set salaries, other financial treatments and benefits of employees in institutions of public administration, as well as the basic minimum wage in the country", with the proposal of the Minister of Finance, the Council of Ministers

DECIDE:

1. Members appointed to the Licensing Commission for the cultivation of cannabis for medical purposes receive a payment for their participation and contribution to this commission, in the amount of 25,000 (twenty-five thousand) ALL per meeting, but no more than 12 (twelve) payments per year.

2. This decision extends the financial effects from the moment the commission becomes effective and these effects are borne within the budget of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

3. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection is charged with the implementation of this decision.

This decision enters into force after publication in the "Official Gazette", says VKM./ CNA
