Memorandum on energy/ Balluku: Golden moment for the region's energy

The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, signed today at the joint meeting of the two governments the memorandum "Understanding for cooperation in the field of Energy", with her counterpart in Montenegro.

During an interview, Balluku considered this memorandum a golden moment for the energy security of the region.    

“Dy nga marrëveshjet që u firmosën sot, janë dy marrëveshje shumë të rëndësishme që do të sistemojnë një problematikë shumë të vjetër që ne kemi patur mes projekteve rajonale dhe bashkëpunimit me Malin e Zi, që sigurisht nuk ka ardhur nga dëshira për të mos bashkuar por ka ardhur për shkak të zhvillimeve politike që shpesh Mali i Zi ka patur, dhe një qëndrueshmërie të brishtë të qeverive që unë kanë ndryshuar herë pas herë. Dy marrëveshjet që unë kam nënshkruar sot me kolegun tim, janë dy marrëveshje që konsistojnë në fushën energjitike dhe ne fushën e infrastukrurës.

The process has been blocked by the Montenegrin side, Montenegro has been hesitant, just a few months ago, Prime Minister Abazovic described it as a strategic and very important project for Montenegro, making us optimistic that the time has come for it created the consortium of four states. We expect to start work immediately, considering the energy crisis, it is a Golden moment, as well as energy security. Albania, good or bad, we have had the comfort of independence, and we have not used Russian gas. So it is a golden moment for energy security in the entire region" , said Balluku./ CNA.al
