SPAK's mega-operation for the "heads" of crime/ Police: There was

The General Directorate of the State Police has provided details of the SPAK mega-operation, where 50 arrest warrants were issued for the "heads" of the crime.

The police clarifies that there has been no de-conspiracy of the operation.

Police Notification:

In connection with a news published on several portals, that the Directorate of the Special Operational Force has been excluded from participating in the operation coded "Revenge", for the execution of 50 security measures determined by the Special Court of the First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, we clarify that:

The General Directorate of the State Police, within this operation, drew up the operational plan for the execution of security measures.

For the implementation of this operational plan, 50 officers of the Judicial Police, the Department of the Criminal Police, the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime, the police personnel of the Directorate of the Special Operational Force, all the effectives of the National Security Force, 80% of the effectives were engaged of RENEA, 100 employees of DVP Tirana, 50 employees of DVP Durrës, 50 employees of DVP Lezhë, 50 employees of DVP Vlorë and 20 employees of DVP Shkodër.

-During the operation, 8 citizens were caught by the Police services that participated in the operation and were arrested.

- 6 citizens, who were declared wanted as part of the operation, were caught and arrested abroad, during the operation, in cooperation with the Italian, Spanish, Belgian and German partners.

- For 6 other citizens, the decisions of the Court were executed and they were recognized with the charges, in the respective IEVP.

-During the verifications in the TIMS system, it turned out that 13 citizens were abroad and had left before the operation, as well as 6 citizens who were wanted before the operation, according to the court's decision, for other criminal offenses committed before.

- While 11 citizens, including 2 police officers, who evaded the justice authorities, it was not possible to catch them during the operation.

We emphasize the fact that no structure of the State Police at the central or local level has been excluded from participating in the "Revanshi" operation and so far there is no indication of the operation's de-conspiracy.

The General Directorate of the State Police has a very good cooperation, based on the law and in full trustworthiness, with the SPAK, with the GJKKO and with the prosecutions of the general jurisdiction.

Based on the work results achieved during 2023 and during the first 5 months of 2024, results which are incomparable with previous periods, clearly show the maximum commitment and determination of the State Police in the fight against organized crime and crime in general.

Also, the State Police is determined to further deepen the process of self-cleansing, cooperating closely with law enforcement agencies inside and outside the country, with citizens and with the media./ CNA
