Today, the signing ceremony of the agreement between the Ministry of Education and the Albanian-American Foundation for Development for the modernization of evaluation systems in the new National Agency for Educational Services was held.

Prime Minister Edi Rama delivered his speech at the ceremony, where he stated that with this agreement, technology is given a considerable space in the handling of services in the function of pre-university and higher education.

He also added that the quality of educational services will increase and will be at a standard of excellence like that of Cambridge University.

"I can't help but go back to when we took the first step of digitizing the higher education system, establishing a ranking system based on results and making it impossible to continue down the path of chaos. At the time, there was a huge backlash against such a process, but the process itself dismissed the complaints because there were no complaints the first time around.

For the first time, the complaints surrounding university admissions processes evaporated as a result of the fact that the process was fact-based and technology-driven. Today, we finally take this next step to give technology a significant role in handling the services of pre-university and higher education.

Today we make available to all those who receive educational services a standard of excellence like that of the University of Cambridge. This is something that makes us proud of the achievement of this day. It has been an extraordinary torture for us to face prejudices and with leaders of the educational services center who did not allow the entry of American personalities.

"This process will also be transparent, fair and indisputable. For all those who judge a method and standard that has made a qualitative change in Singapore's higher education, it enters Albania today and creates prospects for a much better quality of education in Albania ," said Rama. /CNA
