It was with deep sadness that I learned late last night about the passing of Prof. Servet Pëllumbi, a prominent figure in the political and institutional life of the country, with very important contributions not only to political life, but also to academic life.

It has been a pleasure for me to collaborate with him during a very difficult period of the country's transition.

Our deepest condolences to his wife, sons and the entire Pëllumbi family for the passing of their beloved man, but also to all his friends, colleagues and well-wishers.

May he rest in well-deserved peace!
